When you advertise a property with UniHunt, our staff work tirelessly to get the most exposure possible. We ensure that your property is looking its best online and proofread all of the listings that are shown on our website. This is completely free and we will check through everything on your listing to gather a large amount of applicants.

Rightmove advertising

Rightmove are the largest property portal in the UK and the vast majority of students check Rightmove when looking for a new student home. With our paid packages, your property will be included on Rightmove which will give you more exposure and increase the number of applicants attracted. Every Rightmove enquiry is passed directly to you to organise a viewing.

Tenancy agreements

Once you have selected your tenant we arrange for all parties to sign a tenancy agreement. This agreement states all of the requirements of you and your tenant so that each party knows what is expected of them. We can also stipulate additional terms in the agreement should you require this. All agreements are signed electronically and we ensure that these are filed so that you can access them should you need.

Tenancy checks

Our experts carry out a full tenancy check to ensure that the new person letting your property has a good credit history. We charge each tenant £75 for this service and it is free for landlords. Once this is carried out, you receive a full report so you know the financial situation of who you are renting to. We can also carry out these checks on the guarantor for your tenant should this be needed.

Rent collection

Along with the deposits for your property, we collect the first months rent. This secures the property for the tenants and takes it off the market. Once we have this we send it over to you as soon as possible so that your first months rent is in your bank. We also organise for a standing order to be set up for each subsequent months rent to be paid.

Deposit registration

We liaise with your new tenant(s) and organise for them to pay your preferred deposit amount. We then register this on your behalf with our deposit protection service. Doing this is a legal requirement of any assured shorthand tenancy and we take care of all the necessities. Both you and your tenant receive details of the deposit registration so that you can organise for this to be released at the end of the tenancy.
